Bratachari Movement:-

The Bratachari Movement was a movement for spiritual and social improvement in India initiated by Gurusaday Dutta in 1932. The movement aimed to raise the self esteem and national awareness of people of undivided India regardless of their religion, caste sex or age. It was a comprehensive programmed of physical, mental and intellectual culture, based on folk traditions of physical exercise, art, dance, drama, music singing and social service. The Bratacharis undertake to perform good deeds, stregther fellowship and develop the mind and body through dance.

Bratachari Training in our College:-

Every year in Birampur Anadi Charan Memorial Teachers Training D.Ed College all students take parts in Bratachari Training for 15 days. For this purpose the management’s recruits trained teachers for those days. All students regardless of their religion, caste and sex perform their training very carefully and attentively. The male students wear white T-Shirts and White Dhoti and the female students wear white saree with red border. The male students take a red piece of cloth. At the final day of the training the college organizes a programmed and in this programmed all students, teaching and non-teaching staff take part. The people of nearby villages are invited on that day. We also invite the B.D.O of our locality, the Head-Masters of Primary and High Schools of our locality as the guests.
